Green-Wood Cemetery

Deep down in Brooklyn in a pretty ghetto-looking area downtown there is a wonderful place to hide from the world and go wonder around in peace..

I walked around the cemetery for almost 3 hours alone with my thoughts and only saw two other people during that time. This is the perfect place to go be by yourself.

It's breathtakingly beautiful, my photos don't do it much justice, it was pretty cloudy the day I went there so it was hard to take nice photos..

I can't wait to return here in the fall when all the leaves are changing colors..

Hot Town Summer In The City

"Hot town summer in the city
Back of my neck getting dirty and gritty
Been down, isn't it a pity
Doesn't seem to be a shadow in the city
All around people looking half dead
Walking on the sidewalk hotter than a match head

But at night it's a different world
Go out and find a girl
Come on, come on and dance all night
Despite the heat it will be alright
And babe, don't you know it's a pity
The days can't be like the night
In the summer in the city
In the summer in the city

Cool town, evening in the city
Dressed so fine and looking so pritty
Cool cat lookin for a kitty
Gonna look in every corner of the city
Till I'm weezin like a bus stop
Running up the stairs gonna meet ya on the roof top"

My lucky rose

This morning I found my little rose bush blooming and it made me smile. After a few weeks of bitter tears and heartache, I felt it was a good sign. And it was... I got a call and got offered a job! I took it and I start on Monday :)

My other flowers haven't bloomed yet, but they have grown into a pretty wild forest. It's been so dry and hot some of the leaves have burnt while I forgot to water them. I think some bugs are eating the leaves too. I hope they will blossom..
